Is it illegal for a landlord to turn down an apartment because somebody is gay? - gay-the back row-channel one

My brother is gay and has a boyfriend. He looked at an apartment and the owner said he did not let the couple know, because they are gay. The owner said he used to rent the couple had previous tenants, because they gay and unscrew the owners and is now being used more in rent to homosexuals.

It is only illegal in some states, not all. I hope something is illegal in all of them soon. I am not a supporter of gay rights, but it is a terrible thing to any group of people a unique experience to judge. The owner is impaired, and his brother, must examine the law in your country.

However, you will not catch me going into the house now anyway. It makes little sense to live in a place where the owner is a total shower.

If you live in one of the following countries or cities, at least not yet, what the search for another place

California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Rhode Iceland, Vermont and Wisconsin have laws prohibiting discrimination against gays and lesbians. California, Connecticut, Minnesota, New Mexico, Rhode Iceland and New York City also protect transgender people. In addition, many cities to pass laws to end discrimination based on sexual orientation are prohibited, including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, New York, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Seattle.

One of them, living in search of another place. Two, turn right where they live, many states have the protection of sexual orientation in the state. Some cities do, even if the states do not. And you have a good example, no matter where you are. Three. Fight. Only if we are the forces of oppression that can kill.
